Development of an automation control system for a directional crystallization unit. The system is based on a self-developed PLC, has a text LCD and a keyboard, provides control of two heating zones according to an assigned process technology, controls step drive of sinking form, controls matrix printer for printout of graphs in a real time mode. The system has user interface based on a menu to input process technology parameters. RS-485 interface allows connection to the upper level system control using Modbus protocol. The work in this project included designing diagrams and printed-circuit boards (PCAD) and development of microcontroller software (ImageCraft C).
